Register for our Men's A Cappella Honor Choir Festival

Your male singers are invited to sing four-part harmony in a special a cappella festival hosted by Great Plains Harmony on January 24th at 1st Lutheran Church. The day begins at 10:00 a.m and our festival concert will wrap up by 7:15 p.m.

Register now

Great Plains Harmony is a 40-member chorus of the Barbershop Harmony Society and one goal for the event is to have your singers to experience ‘ringing a chord.’

The day will include chorus rehearsals, sectionals, informal quarteting and a master class by an award-winning quartet. All meals are included. The festival will culminate with an evening concert featuring the men's a cappella Honor Choir, the 40-voice award-winning Great Plains Harmony men's chorus, and award-winning local quartets. If we have at least two complete quartet entries, we will have a quartet contest with $300 in prize money!

We make it easy!

All sheet music and quality learning tracks are provided as FREE downloads after you register your men. We want to make it easy since we know choir directors are busy.

Another benefit!! - if you send a complete quartet (or send your men who are interested), they will learn a song suitable for spring contest. Below is the repertoire for the day:

  • The Star Spangled Banner
  • Shine on Me
  • Sound Celebration
  • Breaking Up is Hard to Do

The cost to attend this event is only $25 per person and includes: music, T-shirt, lunch, dinner and complimentary tickets for the evening festival performance. If you have a student needing assistance, we do have limited scholarship funds to make their participation possible.

Register now

If you choose to accompany your students, you will receive free reading packets and information on the Barbershop Harmony Society's Youth in Harmony program.

Tickets to the evening concert will be FREE! A free will offering will be taken to help defer costs of the event.
